Overview
The Register of Registrable Controllers aims to make the ownership and control of corporate entities more transparent.
Who is a registrable controller? A registrable controller is defined based on various criteria. For companies, it includes:
- Interest in more than 25 per cent of shares
- Right to appoint or remove directors holding a majority of the voting rights at directors’ meetings
- Exercises or has the right to exercise significant influence or control over the company.
All companies incorporated in Singapore, foreign companies and all limited liability partnerships registered in Singapore (unless exempted) are required to maintain registers of registrable controllers. Click here to find out if your company is exempted from this requirement.

Add Registrable Controllers
If your company is required to maintain a Register of Registrable Controllers, toggle on Required to maintain Registrable Controllers Register:
Select . This will enable you to add, view or print the Registrable Controller.
Select Add Registrable Controllers
The Registrable Controllers screen will display:

Begin typing the Registrable Controller's name. CAS 360 will search the Global Contacts screen for the contact. If the contact has not been previously saved to the database, select to create the contact. |

Date when the Registrable Controller is added to the register, or when the entry has been updated. |
Date of Notice sent |
Date notice was sent to the Register Controller to confirm their position. |

Date ceased as a Registrable Controller (if applicable). |
Notes |
Add any extra notes in relation to the Registrable Controller. |
Select or to prepare documents
Forms Prepared
CAS 360 will display the Document Production screen and automatically select the documents required:
- Confirmation Letter
- Register of Registrable Controllers
- Notice of Registrable Controllers
- Confirmation Letter
- Register of Registrable Controllers
- Notice of Change in Particulars – 386AH(1)
Select the icon to change any of the document settings. Different options will appear depending on the document type.
View Registrable Controllers
Select View Registrable Controllers to view all the current and historical Registrable Controllers (including appointment history) added to the company and to make any necessary changes.
Select to edit, delete or re-appoint a particular Registrable Controller.
Print Registrable Controllers
Select Print Registrable Controller Documents.
Toggle on generate notice to send to Registrable Controllers?
The following notices can be prepared:
- Notice for Controllers – 386AG(2)(a)
- Notice for Persons who knows Controllers – 386AG(2)(b)
This enables users to print notices before appointing registrable controllers. These notices are usually sent to those that the user believes are the Register Controller or directors who may know who the Register controllers are.
Other notices for existing Registrable Controllers include:
- Notice for Change in Particulars – 386AH(1)
- Notice for Incorrect Particulars – 386A(1)
Multiple notices can be generated at one time, by selecting

Exempted Companies
If your company is NOT required to maintain a Register of Registrable Controllers, toggle OFF Required to maintain Registrable Controllers Register:
Users will still be able to Print Registrable Controller Documents.
In this case, the following notices can be prepared:
- Notice for Controllers – 386AG(2)(a)
- Notice for Persons who knows Controllers – 386AG(2)(b)
- Notice for Change in Particulars – 386AH(1)
- Notice for Incorrect Particulars – 386A(1)
